The Raider football team won their first sectional championship since 1994 when they defeated Kokomo 19-16 last Friday. The Raiders scored on their first drive of the game, but trailed 7-10 at the end of the half. Brian Pennell connected on a field goal in the 3rd quarter to tie the game heading into the final 12 minutes. In the 4th quarter the Raiders converted a 4th and 1 into a 1st down at the Kokomo 2 yard line. Two plays later, Andrew Jensen threw a TD pass to Jake Smith to give the Raiders the lead 17-10. However, Kokomo scored quickly, but the XP was no good when the snap sailed over the holder's head. Jacob Cain closed out the scoring by recording a sack for a safety bringing the game to the final score of 19-16!
