Boys Soccer Shuts Out Chesterton 6-0

The undefeated Raiders traveled to Chesterton to take on the Trojans who were an impressive 9-2-1 on the season. Chesterton leads the DAC conference and is considered one of the top teams in Northern Indiana. The Raiders came into this contest motivated and driven to make a statement. On the back end of a doubleheader, the Raiders didn't show any signs of fatigue! They opened the scoring in the first half with an Ivan Gutierrez goal. David Kim, Connor Lange, and then Carter Koutsouros added one each themselves prior to the break. The Raiders led 4-0 and were in complete control. They kept the pressure on in the 2nd half showing no let up and getting the entire roster involved. The Raiders added 2 more goals in the second half and held the Trojans to minimal chances and no goals. The Raiders continued their shutout streak to 4 and appear to be on a terror on both sides of the ball netting over 20 goals and holding the opposition to zero goals in their last 4 competitions. This team is fun to watch!! The Raiders travel to Logansport and host #11 Westfield this next week. Your Raiders moved to 8-0-4 on the season, are the first team in Raider history to start with an undefeated mark through their first 12 games of a season, and moved up to #6 in the Indiana coaches poll.
