Raiders Announce New Girls Basketball Coach

Harrison High School's Athletic Department is excited to announce that Amie Anthrop will be our new head girls' basketball coach beginning with the 2016-17 season.  Anthrop has guided Fountain Central's program for the past four seasons.  Prior to her tenure at Fountain Central, she served as an assistant girls' basketball coach at Clinton Prairie for one season.  Her past two Fountain Central teams have compiled a record of 38-9.  Anthrop was a four year starter at the University of Southern Indiana and earned several academic and athletic awards before entering the teaching and coaching field.

Anthrop is a very competitive person and will set high expectations for our athletes.  She brings a passion for the sport of basketball and working with young people to the Raider program.  She will incorporate an aggressive defense and fast paced offense at Harrison.  Athletic Director Jerry Galema is excited to bring Anthrops' energy and passion to the Harrison girls' basketball program.  Galema said, "Amie has done great things everywhere she has been.  Her emphasis on players working together as a team, and her support of multi-sport athletes, make her a perfect fit for the Raiders!  We are excited to bring Amie on board to lead our girls' basketball program."
