Boys Volleyball Wins HHS Invitational

Harrison Boys Volleyball competed this weekend in the HHS Invite. The first team they faced was Kankakee Valley and were able to secure the win with set scores of 25-13 and 25-18. Next team was Bishop Noll and the Raiders swept them with scores of 25-11 and 25-18. The final team in pool play was Covenant Christian. These two teams played an exciting game. Covenant Christian won the first set 25-20. The Raiders won the second set 25-22 which sent the match into a third set. The Raiders played strong and won the final set with a score of 16-14. This win sent the Raiders to the championship match where they took on Lawrence North. Lawrence North fought hard but your Harrison Raiders swept them in two sets with scores of 25-16 and 25-22. This win secured the Harrison Raiders with the first place finish.

Andrew Hostetler had outstanding game play with 38 kills, 28 digs, and 26 service points for the day. Conner Blevins did a fantastic job as setter with 81 assists, 2 blocks, and served 36 points with 9 aces for the day. Antonio Figueras played strong as libero with a days total of 30 digs and a serve receive rating of 2.34. Ludvig Tahvanainen had a daily total of 25 kills from the outside. Our middles were active with Luiz Pinto and Ian McKinney both having a total of 12 kills, and Luiz Pinto also led with 4 blocks. Mario Brkaric brought energy and had 6 kills and 3 blocks for the day. Tommy Price served very well with a days total of 22 service points.
